NO BAD IDEAS
No Bad Ideas was made for the 2005 February SideWalk Scramble, a 48 hour film festival. The film could only be 5 minutes length and had to meet the following visual and narrative requirements:
- The opening lines of the film had to be: Make a wish. I already did. Make another one.
- We had to use an apple as a major prop in the film.
- We had to use the color blue in set design.
- We had to include a :30 narrative scene without dialogue. It has to move the plot of the film forward.
In the making of this film we shot over 4 hours of footage. We got our instructions on a Friday night, spent that night and most Saturday shooting. We spent Saturday evening digitizing and editing and finished the edit sometime early Sunday morning. The movie was screened at the Carver Theater and we ended up winning the award for “Best Story.”You can watch the film here.
